Electronic Signature Disclosure & Consent

Last updated: July 2026

ZowaLab lets senders request electronic signatures on documents, and lets recipients sign them electronically. Under the U.S. ESIGN Act, UETA, and the EU eIDAS Regulation, using electronic records and signatures requires your informed consent. Please read this disclosure before signing a document through ZowaLab.

1. Scope of Your Consent

By choosing to sign a document electronically through ZowaLab, you consent to: (a) the use of electronic records and electronic signatures for that transaction; (b) receiving related notices (signature requests, reminders, and the completed document) electronically, usually by email; and (c) the sender relying on your electronic signature as legally binding to the same extent as a handwritten signature. Your consent applies to the specific document(s) you are asked to sign; it does not obligate you to sign electronically in the future.

2. Right to Receive Paper Copies

You have the right to request a paper copy of any document sent to you for electronic signature. To request one, contact the sender directly, or email us at [email protected] with the document reference. We do not charge a fee for providing an electronic copy of a completed, signed document from your account; a sender may set their own terms for physical delivery.

3. System Requirements

To access, sign, and retain electronic records through ZowaLab, you need:

  • A device with an up-to-date web browser and an active internet connection;
  • A valid email address able to receive the signature request and completed document;
  • The ability to view PDF files (a free PDF reader, or your browser's built-in viewer);
  • Sufficient storage to save a copy of the completed document, if you wish to keep one outside your email.

4. How to Withdraw Your Consent

You may withdraw your consent to sign electronically at any point before you complete signing, by declining the signature request in ZowaLab or by replying to the sender directly. Withdrawing consent means the document will not be considered signed by you, and the sender will need to arrange an alternative (for example, a physical signature) if they still need your signature. Withdrawing consent does not affect any other document you have already signed.

5. Updating Your Contact Information

If your email address changes, notify the sender before they issue a new signature request, or update your contact details in your ZowaLab account if you are a registered user. We are not responsible for a signature request that goes to an out-of-date address you did not correct.

6. How We Keep Your Signature Secure

Every completed document is sealed with a tamper-evident cryptographic signature (PAdES) at the moment signing finishes, and an audit trail records each recipient's identity, actions, and timestamps throughout the signing process. This means any later modification to the completed document is detectable, and the audit trail can demonstrate who signed what, and when.

7. Consent and Acknowledgment

By clicking "Sign" (or equivalent) on a document in ZowaLab, you confirm that: you have read and understood this disclosure; you consent to sign and receive records electronically for this transaction; you can access and retain electronic records in the format provided; and, if signing on behalf of an organization, you are authorized to do so.
